WORKSHOP DETAILS
You will learn the background and rationale of the therapy:
- Background and origin with Tom Bowen.
- Developments following his death; rapid expansion around
the world.
- What sets Bowen treatment apart from other modalities.
- What can be treated, and some of the effects of treatment.
Case studies.
You will receive an individual treatment - if you
wish.
You will learn to apply 'emergency moves':
- A limited number of Bowen 'moves' will be demonstrated and
practiced, appropriate for emergency or acute situations.
For example: asthma attack, stiff neck, bad knees, or carpal
tunnel.
This workshop will help you: to decide which branch
of Bowen best suits your personal needs. Teaching schools
are listed in accompanying handouts.
Other Information:
- It is helpful but not necessary for students to have some
experience of bodywork.
- Previous participants have included: chiropractic, physiotherapy,
massage, Reiki, nutrition and 'interest only'; all have left
with 'Plenty to think about', or 'Wow, you packed
a lot in there!' - plus a big smile.
