Bowen Therapy is taking mainstream and complementary medicine
by storm
Developed in Australia in the 1950's, and named after Mr
Tom Bowen its originator, this is a gentle and relaxing hands-on
therapy, in which the practitioner makes a series of 'moves'
over the muscles and soft tissues of the patient, uing only
the fingers and thumbs. There is no need to remove light clothing,
and a treatment lasts about 45 minutes. Continuous short breaks
are given as part of the treatment, to allow the body to 'adjust
to the messages' received through the nervous system.
Bowen creates a balance in the body by releasing 'energy
blockages'. It is particularly effective at relieving muskulo-skeletal
pain, but may also help people with a wide range of conditions.
Anyone can benefit from a Bowen treatment - from babies to
sportspeople; and even those with degenerative conditions.

Quote: "After one treatment from Tim I felt
better overall, and the pain was less intense. After
three I was really much improved, stronger, my old self
once more ….. and back to work, lifting and carrying."
Andie, Gloucester.
